Project Gorgon Transmog Guide: How Glamour Works

Project Gorgon Transmog Guide: How Glamour Works

Yes, Project Gorgon has transmog. It uses a glamour system that lets you apply the appearance of one piece of gear onto another using a special currency. It works well, but it is expensive enough that most players do not use it while leveling.

If you are constantly replacing gear every few days, glamour can drain your councils fast. It becomes much more practical once you settle into long term equipment.

Does Project Gorgon Have Transmog

Project Gorgon does not use a typical hide helmet toggle or free appearance swap. Instead, it uses a glamour crafting system.

You earn glamour currency from certain activities and then use it to apply one item’s appearance onto another. This is done through a crafting interface under Lore.

Each application consumes a glamour resource, so it is not permanent across all upgrades.

What Is A Glamour Berry

The main currency used for transmog is a Glamour Berry.

Applying a glamour generally costs 1 Glamour Berry. On most servers, Glamour Berries trade for around 10000 councils each, which makes appearance changes during leveling very costly.

If you replace gear every few days, you could burn through a lot of money just to keep your look consistent.

How To Use Transmog

To apply glamour:

  • Open your crafting interface

  • Navigate to the appropriate Lore based glamour option

  • Select the appearance item

  • Select the target gear

  • Spend 1 Glamour Berry

Once applied, the target item takes on the appearance of the chosen gear piece.

If you replace that item later, you must glamour the new piece again.

Invisible Hat And Hiding Helmets

There is no built in hide helmet button in the UI.

Instead, you can use an Invisible Hat cosmetic item. This allows players to apply an invisible appearance to their head slot using glamour.

The Invisible Hat can be purchased from Riston in the Red Wing Casino for 5 Live Event Credits.

Live Event Credits can be tracked by pressing P and viewing your currencies tab.

If you are VIP, you receive Live Event Credits monthly, which helps offset the cost of certain cosmetic purchases.

Should You Use Transmog While Leveling

For most players, the answer is a definite no.

While leveling:

  • Gear changes frequently

  • Glamour Berries are expensive

  • You will likely replace items every few days

Using glamour during active leveling can feel wasteful unless you have extra funds.

Transmog becomes far more practical once:

  • You are near max skill levels

  • Your build is stable

  • You are no longer swapping gear constantly

At that stage, glamour makes much more sense.

Where To Find Better Looking Gear

If your issue is ugly leveling gear, you may not need glamour at all.

Check Used Items vendors in places like Serbule Hills. Many cosmetic friendly pieces show up there randomly, including cleaner helmets that are easier on the eyes than certain early web or bone themed gear.

Sometimes replacing the base item is cheaper than glamouring it.

Final Thoughts On Transmog In Project Gorgon

Project Gorgon’s glamour system works, but it is not designed for constant leveling swaps. It rewards players who are settled into long term builds rather than those upgrading every few days.

If you want to look sharp early, be prepared to pay for it. If you can tolerate mismatched armor for a while, your wallet will thank you later.
