Project Gorgon Rat Guide: Taming, Loot, Stats

Project Gorgon Giant Rat Guide: Taming, Loot, Stats

Giant Rat in Project Gorgon is one of the weakest creatures in Alharth and is fully non aggressive. It has low Health, no Armor, and can be tamed early with Animal Handling level 5. Most players encounter it near starter areas like Anagoge and Serbule, making it both a beginner farming target and an easy first pet.

It may look harmless, but it still has a few useful drops and early pet value.

Giant Rat Stats And Weaknesses

Giant Rats are Rodent anatomy creatures. They are weak to Fire and Electricity, and resistant to Poison and Trauma.

Anagoge variant stats:

  • Health 23

  • Armor 0

  • Rage 44

Serbule variant stats:

  • Health 58

  • Armor 0

  • Rage 76

Because they have 0 Armor, direct damage hits at full value. Fire builds melt them quickly.

Where To Find Giant Rats

You can find Giant Rats in several early zones.

Anagoge
They wander around nibbling on grass.

Anagoge Records Facility
Found deeper inside the facility.

Serbule
Scattered a short distance from town.

All variants share the same general loot table, though equipment or scroll drops can vary by zone.

Combat Behavior And Abilities

Giant Rats are non aggressive, so they will not attack unless provoked.

Their combat tools include:

  • Evasion

  • Crushing Damage basic attack

  • Heavy Slashing Damage

They are extremely weak compared to most enemies. Even early builds handle them easily.

Taming Giant Rat With Animal Handling

Giant Rat can be tamed at Animal Handling level 5. That makes it one of the earliest available pets.

Taming stats:

  • Maximum Bond Level 80

  • Maximum Happiness 100

  • Maximum Enthusiasm 10

Basic Attack deals Crushing Damage and Slashing Damage.

Sic Em ability at levels 1 to 14:

  • Reduce Rage by 90

  • Deals 8 damage

Special Trick at levels 1 to 14:

  • Heal Owner for 35 Health

The Heal Owner trick gives small but useful sustain in early content. The Rage reduction can also help control certain enemies.

Is Giant Rat Worth Using

Giant Rat is not a high tier combat pet. Its damage is low and its durability is limited.

However, it is:

  • Easy to tame

  • Cheap to maintain

  • Useful for new Animal Handling players

  • A simple early game support pet

For brand new players learning pet mechanics, Giant Rat is a safe and accessible starting option.

It may be the weakest of the weak, but for early progression and basic resource farming, Giant Rat still has its place in Project Gorgon.
