Project Gorgon Adds Temporary Fix as Third Server Strekios Remains Offline

Project Gorgon is still planning to launch a third server called Strekios, but it is not live yet due to hardware delays. While players wait, Elder Game has added a new early game zone called Desert Dreams to reduce congestion and lag on the existing servers. This update is meant to stabilize the game right now, not replace the need for a new server.

For players wondering if Strekios is real or quietly canceled, the answer is simple. It is confirmed, it is coming, and it just is not ready yet.

Is Project Gorgon Adding A Third Server

Yes, Project Gorgon is adding a third server named Strekios. The developers have confirmed multiple times that the server will launch as soon as the required leased hardware becomes available.

There has been no change in direction or backtracking. The delay is technical, not design related.

Why Strekios Is Still Offline

Project Gorgon does not run well on generic server setups. The developers have explained that the game requires very specific hardware, which is being leased and has not fully come online yet.

Because of this, Elder Game cannot simply spin up the server instantly. Estimates suggest days rather than weeks, but there is no exact launch date.

Why Desert Dreams Was Added Instead

Desert Dreams is a new combat area intended for players with levels 1 to 15. It is accessed through a golden portal just outside the Serbule gate near Sir Coth.

The purpose of this zone is to spread out new players. Since launch, Serbule has been heavily overcrowded, which has caused lag, animation issues, and desync problems.

Desert Dreams reuses the Ilmari Desert map and reframes it as a dream realm. Developers have stated it may be temporary and could be removed once population pressure drops.

How This Update Helps Right Now

Reducing the number of players in Serbule directly improves performance. With fewer players packed into one zone, combat becomes more reliable and enemies behave correctly more often.

The same update also fixed several issues made worse by crowding. These include boss camping, animation failures, projectile bugs, and enemies appearing alive but being unlootable.

What This Means For New Players

Many new players have said they want to wait for a fresh server rather than deal with lag. Until Strekios goes live, Desert Dreams gives those players a way to start playing without sitting in the most congested area of the game.

It is not a perfect solution, but it keeps the early game playable while infrastructure catches up.

Will Servers Be Merged Later

The developers have stated there are no plans to merge servers. Project Gorgon has historically played well with lower populations, and merges would only be considered if numbers dropped far below normal levels.

This suggests Strekios is intended to be a permanent server once it launches, not a temporary overflow option.
